On July 3^rd, 2017, NSFC President Yang Wei signed the Annex to theAgreement on Cooperation between the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research in Beijing with Professor Sergey Gaponenko, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research (BRFFR).

The Agreement on Cooperation between NSFC and BRFFR was signed in 1993. The Annex signed this time paves the way forthe two sides to jointly fund collaborative research projects between Chinese and Belarusian scientists in areas of common interest. The call for proposals of collaborative research projects will be launched soon on the basis of the Annex.
